Best HR and payroll software in Nepal (2026): a comparison on the rules that matter
No HRMS is best for every company in Nepal. If you only need HR and payroll, priced per employee, NepalHRM (NPR 60 or 99 per active employee a month, payroll on the NPR 99 plan), RigoHR (from Rs 150 per employee a month with a minimum commitment) and Hajir HR (NPR 100 per seat a month) publish their prices and state TDS and SSF payroll. Nimble HRMS offers SaaS or on-premises with quoted pricing. If you also want VAT invoicing and accounts in the same system, on a monthly NPR plan rather than a per-employee fee, EK ERP does both, but it syncs ZKTeco devices only and has no recruitment or appraisal module.

Five questions to answer before you compare.
Most HRMS demos look alike. These questions separate them.
- How is it priced: per employee, per seat or per plan? Multiply by your headcount in two years, and ask about minimum commitments.
- Does the payroll work out salary TDS by fiscal-year slab, handle the SSF 11% and 20% split, and export the e-TDS sheet? Ask to see a payslip and the e-TDS file for a real month.
- Which attendance device brands sync? "Biometric supported" is not an answer; ask for the brand and model you own.
- Are leave years, pay periods and holidays kept in Bikram Sambat?
- Do you also need invoicing and accounts? A separate HRMS means salary journals are posted to the accounting system by hand or by an integration.
