How are VAT invoices numbered?
EK ERP numbers tax invoices by fiscal year, for example INV-2083-084-00001, and the sequence restarts on 1 Shrawan. The VAT bill number from your IRD bill book is recorded against each invoice and cannot repeat within a fiscal year. Each invoice shows seller and buyer PAN, 13% VAT and the total in words.
Is EK ERP IRD-approved billing software?
No. EK ERP is not IRD-approved billing software and does not issue the legal VAT bill; the VAT bill number comes from your IRD bill book. EK ERP exports the e-TDS salary sheet for each BS month and the sales and purchase VAT registers, in formats the IRD portals accept for upload, and you upload them yourself.
Does it work in Bikram Sambat?
Yes. Pay periods, leave years, due dates and the fiscal year are stored in Bikram Sambat, with the AD date shown alongside. The fiscal year runs from Shrawan to Ashadh.
